Lode ("the App") is designed with your privacy as the top priority. Your health data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export and share it.
You may choose to share your exported data with AI services (such as Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.), but this is entirely your decision and under your control.
With your explicit permission, the App reads the following categories of health data from Apple HealthKit:

We collect de-identified usage analytics to understand how the app is used and fix issues. This includes things like app opens, which features are used, and crash reports.
Analytics never include any of your health data and are not linked to your identity.
Analytics are processed by Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (provided by Google LLC). This data is processed on Google's servers in the United States.
You can opt out of analytics at any time by going to Settings within the app and disabling the Analytics toggle. Your choice is respected immediately.
For users in Canada, analytics collection requires your opt-in consent and can be disabled at any time in the app's settings.
For all other regions, analytics are enabled by default but you may opt out at any time through the app's settings.
When you export your health data:
Apple HealthKit — We access HealthKit data with your permission. Apple's privacy policy governs how HealthKit stores your data. Learn more at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — De-identified usage data is sent to Firebase, operated by Google LLC in the United States. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
Regardless of where you live, you can:
Canada — We collect analytics only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. If you have a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Australia — De-identified analytics data is transferred to Google LLC in the United States for processing. If you have a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
New Zealand — De-identified analytics data is transferred to Google LLC in the United States for processing. If you have a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Singapore — De-identified analytics data is transferred to Google LLC in the United States for processing. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at lode@playup.ai. If you have a privacy concern, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission.
Hong Kong — De-identified analytics data is transferred to Google LLC in the United States for processing. If you have a privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
